These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of VelaDeck (the “Service”), operated by the VelaDeck team (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or connecting a brokerage account, you agree to these Terms.

1. What VelaDeck does

VelaDeck is a portfolio-automation tool. Subscribers select AI-driven equity strategies curated by VelaDeck and authorize VelaDeck to submit trade orders on their behalf via their linked Alpaca Securities brokerage account. VelaDeck does not custody funds, does not provide personalized investment advice, and is not a registered broker-dealer or investment adviser.

2. Not investment advice

Nothing on VelaDeck constitutes investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. The strategies displayed are third-party algorithmic screeners; we do not endorse or validate their methodology. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions. Consider consulting a qualified professional before deploying capital.

3. Risk of loss

All trading involves substantial risk of loss, including the loss of your entire principal. Past performance of any strategy is not indicative of future results. Automated execution does not reduce market risk and may increase it during rapid market moves. Start with Alpaca paper trading to evaluate strategy behaviour before deploying real capital.

4. Brokerage relationship

All orders are routed through your Alpaca account. VelaDeck acts only as your agent, using the OAuth token you grant. Alpaca terms, disclosures and regulations govern the execution, custody and settlement of trades. VelaDeck is not affiliated with Alpaca Securities LLC.

5. Your responsibilities

• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Ensure your Alpaca account has appropriate permissions and buying power for the strategies you subscribe to.
• Monitor your account and revoke VelaDeck’s OAuth authorization at any time from your Alpaca settings.
• Comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

6. Fees

Fees, if any, are shown on the Pricing page and calculated based on your Alpaca account balance tier. We may change fees with reasonable notice.

7. Data availability

Strategy composition and performance data are refreshed on a schedule. If the upstream data feed we rely on is unavailable or delayed, some or all features may be temporarily unavailable.

8. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that data is accurate, timely, complete, or that trade execution will succeed for every signal.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VelaDeck and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or trading losses, arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
